Election Issues You Should Be Aware Of
The news and information online makes it seem like there is no safe way to decipher fact from opinion. I want to expose you to news that specifically is important for you to research on your own. i will provide you the facts I deem to be relevant and you can research. The main agenda with this page is to build our democracy which means you should care about the issues you are voting for and PLEASE GO VOTE TODAY OR TOMORROW! I do not care WHO you vote for but please GO VOTE!
Climate Change in NYC
The Earth is getting warmer and for decades people have been shouting. Scientists this year chained themselves to government buildings, losing their jobs and getting arrested, but they did it to show the public how serious we should take these matters. NYC is three islands coming together which means we will flood, we can barely handle traffic, bridge shutdowns, water supplies are getting damaged, electricity shutdowns, viruses will flourish in these climates and as the Earth cools more viruses that were captured in the cold, glaciers, will come out, and all 8 million of us will be sick and at one point our bodies will not be able to fight off so many illnesses. Climate Change is real and as people of color we know how it has impacted our ancestral land.
Crime in NYC
It is very easy to say that there is an increase in crime where there are more police officers criminalizing people and arresting them for jumping the turnstile. I grew up in NYC and these crimes existed but we have to not increase monitoring but build empathy and community while we RE-TRAIN these officers from upstate to view our diverse NYC bodies as harmless first, and then if there is danger to try to deescalate and not kill us. In Grand Central Terminal there were State Police Officers with big guns near children, in close contact, and could easily be taken over or misunderstand local understandings. Some people will believe others are acting aggressive or dangerous but they are just New Yorkers living their weird eccentric lives.
Health in NYC
The medical profession has we have seen in the last couple of years, is not equipped and properly supported by the government. We cannot be allowed to be medicated without dignity, we are human beings trying to rely on experts, our organs die, they do not produce the money certain doctors ask for. We should be able to afford and trust the doctors will have our best interest at heart. Many testimonials about insurance fraud, incorrect prescriptions and malpractice that has been left unresolved.
Misinformation/Disinformation
In the modern age of technology, people need to be aware that experts, CIA, and the government have shown clear evidence of Russia creating companies and social media accounts to provide INCORRECT INFORMATION so that people in the US start to fear, fight, and fumble.

City Services
NYC has had its issues with the police department, MTA, fire department, and other government agencies that are supposed to be the backbone of the city and protect us when we are in danger.
These services are discriminating the elderly, women, people of color, people who do not speak English fluently. The people getting hurt are our friends, families, and neighbors.

Impact of Your Vote
The 2022 Election and 2024 Election are the two major elections for us because of the civil tension across the country. Right now, NY State might become red and our blue city has not seen this since Gov. George E. Pataki (R) 1995-2007 which is an era before the modern age of social media. The political divide in the US is very dangerous to our democracy because people in politics are forgetting that we are still ONE NATION. No matter who you are, human beings first, then capitalistic or political gains.

A synagogue, working families making some extra earnings, and a clinic that provides help to those who have been abandoned. Vote to improve these places, not destroy them. Native NYC is dying post-COVID.
